How to pin a message
Learn how to pin messages in your chats for easy access.
Pinning a message keeps it visible near the top of the chat for everyone, for a set amount of time.
Pin a message
- Press and hold the message you want to pin.
- Tap the pin icon in the top bar.
- Choose how long to keep it pinned: 24 hours, 7 days, or 30 days.
- Tap Pin.
- Press and hold the message you want to pin.
- Tap Pin message.
- Choose how long to keep it pinned: 24 hours, 7 days, or 30 days.
Unpin a message
Press and hold the pinned message, then tap the pin icon again (Android) or tap Unpin message (iPhone). It unpins immediately - no confirmation needed.
Who can pin messages
In a group chat, only group admins can pin or unpin messages. In one-on-one chats, either person can.
