How to mention in a group
Tag a specific person, or everyone, in a group chat.
Mentions only work in group chats, not in 1:1 chats.
- Open a group chat and start typing in the message box.
- Type @ followed by a few letters of the person's name.
- Pick their name from the suggestions list that appears above the keyboard, or pick Everyone to mention the whole group at once.
- Finish your message and tap Send.
A mention appears highlighted in the message and is tappable to open that person's profile. Mentioning someone - including Everyone - still notifies them even if they have muted the group.
