How to approve group join requests
Review and approve or deny requests from people who used your group invite link.
Anyone with your group's invite link can send a request to join - they are not added automatically. Approving or denying requests is admin-only.
- Open the group's chat info screen.
- Tap Requests and invites.
- For each pending request, tap the checkmark to approve, or the X to deny.
What the other person sees
After opening the invite link, they see a Request to join button. Tapping it shows Request sent, with a note that an admin needs to approve the request before they can join. If they are already a member, HiYou takes them straight into the group instead of showing a request button.
