How to create and invite into a group
Start a new group chat, add members, and set a name and photo.
Creating a group is a separate step from starting a 1:1 chat. HiYou groups can have up to 1,024 members.
- On the Chats tab, open the overflow menu and tap New group.
- On the Add participants screen, search and select the people to add, then tap the forward arrow.
- Tap the avatar circle to add a group photo (optional), and enter a Group name (optional, up to 100 characters).
- Tap the checkmark to create the group.
- On the Chats tab, open the overflow menu and tap New group.
- On the Select Contact screen, tap New group, then select the people to add.
- Enter a Group name (optional, up to 100 characters) and a Group description (optional, up to 500 characters). Tap the avatar to add a group photo.
- Tap Create.
Only iPhone lets you add a group description while creating the group. On Android, add one afterward from the group's chat info screen.
