How to search chats
Find a message inside one chat, or search across every chat at once.
Search within a chat
- Open the chat.
- Open the overflow menu and tap Search.
- Type a word or phrase. Use the arrows to jump between matches.
Search across all your chats
- On the Chats tab, tap the search icon.
- Type a name, phone number, @username, or message text.
- Tap a result to open that chat at the matching message.
