How to delete your account
Learn how to delete your HiYou account at any time.
Deleting your account is permanent. Before you start, know what it does:
- Deletes your account from HiYou and all your devices
- Erases your local message history on this device
- Removes you from all of your groups
- Deletes your cloud backup
This can't be undone.
Delete your account
- Go to Settings, then tap Account.
- Tap the ⋮ icon in the top bar.
- Tap Delete my account.
- Enter your phone number to confirm, then choose a reason for leaving.
- Tap Delete my account, then confirm Delete account.
- Go to Settings, then tap Account.
- Tap the ⋯ icon in the top bar.
- Tap Delete My Account.
- Enter your phone number to confirm, then choose a reason for leaving.
- Tap Delete my account, then confirm Delete account.
No password needed
You don't need your password to delete your account - re-entering your phone number is enough to confirm it's you. Make sure it matches exactly, or the request is rejected.
