How to edit your profile
Change your display name, username, about text, email, birth date, or photo.
Open Settings and tap your profile card at the top to open Profile. Tap any field below to edit it.
Fields you can edit
- Name - required, 1-50 characters.
- Username - optional, 3-30 characters, letters, numbers, and underscores only. Once set, you can tap Delete username to remove it.
- About - optional, up to 139 characters.
- Email - optional. Once set, you can tap Delete email to remove it.
- Birth date - shows as Add birthday until set. See How to create a birthday card for why this matters to your contacts.
Change your profile photo
Tap the camera badge on your avatar, then choose Camera, Photo library, or Remove photo (only shown if you already have one set). Crop the image before it saves.
