How to delete voice messages
Learn how to delete voice messages from your chats.
Deleting a voice message works exactly like deleting any other message - there's no separate voice-specific step.
Delete a voice message
- Press and hold the voice message you want to delete.
- Tap the trash icon in the top bar.
- Choose Delete for me, or Delete for everyone if it's offered.
- Confirm your choice.
- Press and hold the voice message you want to delete.
- Tap Delete message.
- Choose Delete for me, or Delete for everyone if it's offered.
- Confirm your choice.
Delete for everyone only appears in group chats, and only if you're a group admin or it's your own message. In one-on-one chats, you can only delete a voice message for yourself.
