How to block and report someone
Block a person, manage blocked accounts, or report a user or group on HiYou.
Blocking and reporting are separate actions. Reporting does not automatically block the person. Button names below match the English interface.
Block someone
- Open the one-to-one conversation.
- Tap the person's name in the chat header to open their details.
- Scroll down and tap Block followed by the person's name.
- Tap Block in the confirmation.
- Open the one-to-one conversation.
- Tap the person's name in the chat header to open their details.
- Scroll down and tap Block followed by the person's name.
- Tap Block in the confirmation.
To undo this, open the same details, tap Unblock followed by the person's name, then confirm Unblock.
You can also manage blocks from Settings > Privacy > Blocked Accounts. Tap the add-person button to block a contact, or tap Unblock beside an account you previously blocked.
Report someone
- Open the conversation and tap the person's name in the chat header.
- Scroll down and tap Report followed by the person's name.
- Add a reason if you want, then tap Report to submit.

- Scroll down and tap Report user.

- When Report submitted appears, tap OK.
Your report sends who you're reporting and your reason for review - not your message history. The other person is not notified.
Report a group
- Open the group chat and tap the group name at the top.
- Scroll down and tap Report group.
- Add a reason if you want, then tap Report to submit.
- Open the group chat and tap the group name at the top.
- Scroll down and tap Report group.
- Add a reason if you want, then tap Report to submit.
- When Report submitted appears, tap OK.
Reporting a group does not make you leave it. Official broadcast channels do not show the report action. If an error appears, the report may not have been submitted; try again when you have a connection.
If you are in immediate danger, contact your local emergency service.
