How to find and invite contacts
Find phone contacts who use HiYou and invite contacts who have not joined yet.
HiYou does not have a separate Contacts tab. Your phone contacts appear on the Select Contact screen, which opens from the new chat button on the Chats tab, and separates contacts already using HiYou from ones you can invite. The button names below match the English app interface.
- On the Chats tab, tap the New chat button to open Select contact.
- Tap the search icon and type a name or phone number.
- Contacts already using HiYou are listed under Contacts on HiYou. Tap a name to start chatting.
- Contacts who have not joined are listed under Invite to HiYou. Tap their name or the Invite button, then choose an app from the share sheet.
- On the Chats tab, tap the compose icon to open Select Contact.
- Tap the search icon and type a name or phone number.
- Everyone appears in one list. Contacts already using HiYou show a message icon - tap their name to start chatting.
- Contacts who have not joined show an Invite label instead. Tap their row, then choose an app from the share sheet.
The invite message and link are the same for everyone you invite. Review the message and recipient in the selected app before sending.
